July 2, 2025 — Matt Davis: My 2025 Arrow Setup
Hey everyone — Matt D here from Whitetail Edge. I wanted to take a quick minute to share my arrow setup for the 2025 season. I’ve been dialing things in and I’m feeling really confident about what I’m shooting this year.
🔧 Arrow Specs:
- Arrow: Easton Match Grade 5.0 (250 spine)
- Grains per inch: 9.5
- Arrow length: 28 1/2 inches
- Insert: 75-grain stainless steel half-out
- Tip: 100-grain Easton Match Grade field point
- Total arrow weight: ~480 grains
This setup is flying fast, hits hard, and more importantly — it’s accurate. I’m a big fan of the 5mm diameter; it’s that perfect sweet spot between speed and penetration for me.
🏹 Why Easton?
Easton has been my go-to for years. From the Easton Axis to the FMJs, FMJ Maxx, and Parallel Pros — I’ve tried them all. They offer a wide range of arrows, from micro-diameter shafts to heavier options, depending on what you’re after.
But what really sets Easton apart for me is their consistency and craftsmanship. They’re 100% American-made, and I’ve been shooting their arrows since the late ’80s. That’s a legacy of performance I trust.
I’m grateful to be partnered with Easton again this year, and I’m excited about what’s to come this fall. The team is fired up, and we’re hoping to put some great bucks on the ground.
Thanks for following along with Whitetail Edge. Stay safe, shoot straight, and we’ll catch you in the next update!
