July 13, 2025 – Kenny Bevans: Prep Work

It’s July 13th, and I figured I’d give a quick update on what I’ve got going on today.

I’m heading down to my lease to knock out a few things—putting up a couple Stealth Cams, checking a Novix stand, and pulling the cover off a ghillie blind that needs some TLC. There are already a couple bucks showing up from the cameras I’ve had running all year, including one nice one with split brow tines. Can’t quite tell his age yet, but definitely one to watch.

I’m also bringing some Evolved mineral to freshen up a site and get a better feel for what kind of inventory I’ve got heading into the season. Food plot prep is just around the corner—probably about a month out for the fall Evolved blends—so this is the first step in that direction.

I’ve already got soybeans in the ground and sprayed, so I’ll be checking those while I’m down there too. Just making sure everything’s tracking the way it should. Feels good to get out and kick off the prep work for another season.
