Evolved Radish FOODPLOT in a DROUGHT – Oct 12, 2025 – Dewaine Jones
What’s up, guys? It’s October 11th and things are finally starting to heat up here on my farm. I’ve been keeping an eye on the cameras, and after the summer we had, I honestly didn’t think my food plots were going to make it. We had one of the worst droughts I can remember in southeast Ohio this year, and it really had me worried.
But if you look out through here, this Evolved Harvest radish plot came in absolutely perfect. I couldn’t be more excited to see that kind of growth after the conditions we had. It’s always rewarding when a plan comes together, especially when Mother Nature isn’t cooperating.
I’ve got my scrape tree set up right in the middle of the plot, and I’m going to doctor it up with some Black Widow Deer Lures. The Redneck blind is sitting just off the edge of the plot, and I’ll be shooting out of that vertical window.
The deer have already started using this plot, and with the cooler temps and pre-rut activity picking up, I’ve got a good feeling about this setup. Stay tuned — we’ll see what happens next.
